To celebrate the 3rd World Flu Day


2020 World Influenza Conference (WIC)
1 – 2 November 2020

The second WIC will take place in Beijing, China on 1–2 November 2020 to coincide with the World Flu Day Initiative and will be hosted by:
The Chinese Association of Preventive Medicine (CPMA), China Center for Disease Control and Prevention (China CDC), Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences (CAMS), and the Asia-Pacific Alliance for the Control of Influenza (APACI). APACI will be working closely with European Scientific Working group on Influenza (ESWI), the National Adult and Influenza Immunization Summit (NAIIS) and the International Society for Influenza and other Respiratory Virus Diseases (isirv) to ensure a global prespective.

Topics will include:

  • Enhancing the evidence of influenza control, including pharmaceutical interventions, influenza vaccines and antivirals.
  • Discussing lessons learned from COVID-19 and flu control, accessibility of COVID-19 vaccines to the world; how to put forward flu programs under the COVID-19 situation.
  • Examining disease burden, vaccination programs, vaccination development and policies.
